The Reports are the synthesis and the final goal of the research projects carried out by ISAE.
The ISAE Reports devoted to forecasts are issued twice a year and provide forecasts and macroeconomic analyses on Italy, Europe and the rest of the world. The forecasts for Italy are also broken down by geographical partitions and with reference to the Italian Administrative Regions. The ISAE macroeconomic forecasts are updated four times a year: twice when drafting the Reports and twice in a Monthly Note.
The Report draws inspiration from Setting National Priorities published by the Brookings Institution of Washington, D.C. Each Report tackles specific topics of public regulation: from the effectiveness of civil justice to the liberalisation process of public utilities, from the constraints to the growth of small firms to the productivity of the General Government.
The Report "Public Policies and Redistribution" is devoted to the structural analysis of topics related to income distribution and to the public intervention in the social area and to the study of the redistributive impact of public finance provisions. The economic policy provisions are investigated with the help of intra-generational micro-simulation models on households and firms and inter-generational accounts for individuals and households.
The Report on the State of the European Union examines the process of political and economic integration of the European Union, by analysing its evolution in terms of rules and regulations, institutions, markets, economic and social policies, from an European, and not an Italian point of view.
Since 2002, ISAE has been devoting an Annual Report to the federalism-linked topics. The Report "Public Finance and Institutions" continues the process started in 2003 with the "Report on Federalism" and contains a macroeconomic analysis of the public finances with reference to the centre-periphery relations and to other institutional aspects.
