The Reports are the synthesis and
the final goal of the research projects carried out by ISAE.
The main topics are
The Report Introductions are available on the present website in Italian on the publication day and in English a month later (see List of English Introductions since 1999), whereas after three months from the publication the full ISAE Reports, in Italian, are available on the website (see Elenco Rapporti ISAE presentati dal 1999).
The Reports are sold directly from ISAE at the cost of 60 € for each
issue; the subscription to the 6 Reports costs 360 €. All documents are send by

"Public Finance and Redistribution"
The Report
“Public Finance and Redistribution” is devoted to the structural analysis of
topics related to income distribution
and to the public intervention in the social area and to the study of
the redistributive impact of public finance provisions. The economic policy
provisions are investigated with the help of intra-generational micro-simulation
models on households and firms and inter-generational accounts for individuals
and households.

Annual Report on the State
of the European
The Annual
Report on the State of the European Union examines the process of political and
economic integration of the European Union, by analysing its evolution in terms
of rules and regulations, institutions, markets, economic and social policies,
from an European, and not an Italian point of view.

subjects of first Annual Report on the
State of the European Union (2001)
by ISAE were:
The Report
was presented in Rome (June 5, 2001) on the ISAE premises by the ISAE
President, Prof.
The Report
was also presented in Brussels (June 27, 2001) on the CEPS premises by the ISAE
President, Prof.
The main
topics of the second Annual Report on
the State of the European Union (2002) were: the citizens’ representation
in Community institutions, competition policies, health care and population
ageing, the co-ordination of budget policies, intervention in favour of social
inclusion, the effects of the EU enlargement to Central-Eastern European
countries.
The Report
was presented in Rome (June 6, 2002) on the ISAE premises by the ISAE
President, Prof.
The first
two Reports (years 2001 and 2002) were published by Il Mulino and are sold in book-shops at 21 euros.

On
December 19, 2002, the second Report on the State of the European Union – in
its modified and abridged version published by Il Mulino - was also presented at the Sala del Cenacolo in Rome by the editor
The main
topics of the third Annual
Report on the State of the European Union (2003) were: a first
evaluation of the European Convention, the European Union and religious
confessions, Europe in the euro appreciation phase, fiscal policy rules in
the European Union (their effectiveness, shortcomings and draft
reforms), the quality of public expenditure in the European Union, the European
Union and environmental policies.
The Report
was presented in

topics of the fourth Annual
Report on the State of the European Union (2004) were: the
approval of the European Constitution, the European Union budget and its
multi-annual financial prospects, public finances in the enlarged Union,
security and common defence policies, the eight new entrants of the
Central-Eastern Europe, the spreading of
currency disturbances through trade, pension systems and the European Union.
The Report
was presented in
The topics dealt with in the fifth Report on the State of the European
Union (2005) were: EU budget governance; public procurement in the
European Union; economic cycle, competitiveness and international finance
during the euro appreciation phase; public finances in the European Union and
reform of the Stability and Growth Pact; Union enlargement to the Balkans;
reform of the local public service network in the European Union.
The presentation took place in Rome on July 14, 2005 on the ISAE
premises.

2002, ISAE has been devoting an Annual Report to the federalism-linked topics. The
Annual Report on Federalism (usually published in February) provides
evaluations and unprecedented data on the new Constitutional scheme drawing
inspiration from federalism.

6, 2003) on the ISAE premises by the ISAE President, Prof.

Excerpts from
the ISAE Reports
Owing
to the interest raised by the topics dealt with in the ISAE Reports, the
Excerpt Series from the ISAE Reports was inaugurated in October 2001 with the
idea of gathering in small volumes some of the Chapters of the ISAE Reports “Setting National
Priorities”, “Public Finance and Redistribution”, and from the Reports on the
State of the European Union and on federalism.
The excerpts are fully available on the ISAE website three months after
the Report publication, but they can
also be requested in hardcopy (see marketing).
